Silvia Starnini studied classical guitar, obtaining her fifth year diploma at the conservatory N. Paganini from Genoa, to then devote herself to folk guitar and jazz singing.

She played with singer-songwriter Alessio Lega and collaborated with the Turin singer-songwriter Isa, for whom she recorded guitars and voices in “L’arte dell’insomnia” (Zona – 2008) and on the CD accompanying the book “Dalla citta’, le montagne” (Note – 2010).

As a songwriter, she has several self-produced albums.

Dal 2019 inizia la sua collaborazione con Simona Palumbo in ambito latino, con cui:

• registra video (live 2021-2022 youtube channel – “SHIMBALAIè” M.Gadù; “LOVE IS HERE TO STAY”, George & Ira Gershwin; “SOMEONE IN LOVE”, J.Van Heusen; “CON IL NASTRO ROSA”, L.Battisti/Mogol; “CRY ME A RIVER”, A.Hamilton; “QUIZAS QUIZAS QUIZAS”, O.Farrés);
• arrangia, suona e canta nel suo album Latin Land (2021) (“A minha querida guitarra”);
• compone, suona e canta nel suo album Latin Duets (2022).
• suona la chitarra e canta in seconda voce/cori nei live latini di Simona Palumbo che vanno dal duo all’ottetto.
